I am living a life completely different from the one I had growing up.
I am the youngest of 4 and the only girl. Having 3 older brothers was interesting at times. It meant having my own room, having my dolls buried in the snow and that sometimes, compromise means playing trucks so you have a playmate.♥
I have been married for 24 years and my husband and I are blessed with 4 children. 2 boys and 2 girls means a happy mix of legos and doll clothes. ♥
We decided when our oldest was 2, that we wanted to homeschool. I read, researched and read some more and when the time came to begin, what I planned out in my mind as perfect became exactly opposite. (*see Homeschooling tab)
My husband laughs at times and says we are trailblazers. In our families, not in this day and age. Our parents find homeschooling "odd". We do things together as a family and that includes worship in our family integrated church. I love thrift store shopping and making meals that stretch (this means leftovers for lunches.)
I make my own laundry detergent and soap, use natural means for healthcare for the family and love to glean anything I can from other blogging mamas.♥
